On September 18th, Scotland will be voting on whether to withdraw from the United Kingdom.
Regarding that, a Politico Magazine August 26, 2014 article headline read,
“The Sad, Dark End of the British Empire – Scottish independence could be the final insult”
Its opening paragraph pointed out that,
“During the 19th and early 20th centuries, Britain had dominion over so many portions of the Earth it was said, famously, that “the sun never set on the British Empire.”
The article ended with something else of significance to British historians — as well as to people who believe Britain and America are the modern-day descendants of the Ephraim and Manasseh. Of the stone closely associated with the coronation of British monarchs for centuries and with briefly being a headrest for Jacob according to ancient tradition, Politico Magazine said,
” … one issue appears to have been settled and that is the fate of the Stone of Scone … seized by English invaders in 1296 …The British government sent it back to Scotland in 1996.”
It is also known as the Stone of Destiny.
