Seeking the Right Knowledge
With the amazing influx of information technology, especially due to the Internet and now Artificial Intelligence, people have never had such an abundance of information…literally as fast as we can type on the computer keyboard or our cell phones. It truly is an overload… everyone is hungry for it. As people of God, we can be adversely affected by this glut of information if we are not viewing it in the right way. This can be true of any of us and especially those that are younger. There are subtle and not-so-subtle bits of information that can distract us to the point that we are in a world that is disconnected from what God is wanting to have us focus on.
Today, we’ll talk about these dangers and look at how God’s Word helps us deal with them.
As we approach these Fall Holy Days, we are all looking forward to receiving information and knowledge of a spiritual kind. And we need these High Holy Days, especially now. In no other time in history have things that we see and interact with everyday been as bad… information that comes without any moral or spiritual context. What the world sees is information technology making astounding advances. But what does God say?
