Redeeming the Time
Every single day of time – every single hour, minute and second of it – is priceless. It might be our last day, none of us knows. Therefore, God wants us to live each day with the resulting fervency of that knowledge. Through the Apostle Paul God says, “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Eph. 5:15-16). But do you know what redeeming the time actually involves? It might not be at all what you initially think it to be. It is not a physical pursuit, rather it is a spiritual one that will light up your life.
