The Times of Israel October 21, 2014 headline read,
“Jordan said working to prevent Jewish prayer at Temple Mount”
According to the the Palestinian Ma’an News Agency,
“Khalid al-Shawabka, Jordan’s Ambassador to the Palestinian territories, claims that Israel’s MKs were attempting to pass a resolution which would effectively divide the compound between Muslims and Jews …”
However, Miri Regev of Israel’s Likud political party is not backing off from her plans to introduce a bill. She stated,
“There is no reason that Jews should not be allowed to pray in the holiest side of the world …”
