Let This Mind Be in You
The Apostle Paul wrote, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” It is a very aesthetically pleasing sentence. What a beautiful picture it paints of how we want our minds to be. The question for each of us is whether or not that is, in fact, the mind that is developing in each of us. When we reflect on the Parable of the Virgins, we are sobered to see that all ten of them believed that they had Christ’s mind in them – they all expected to be at the wedding with Him. The five foolish virgins, however, were not allowed entry. When they asked to be let in, Christ said, “Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.” How can such a vast gulf develop between two types of minds that each had the same starting place with the inception of the Holy Spirit? It is sobering indeed! This message will help you come to know which mind is developing in you.
