In Jesus’ Name
Jesus promised that whatever we ask in His name, He will do.
It’s very easy to forget the significance of placing His name on the end of a prayer. In doing so, we are basing our prayer on Jesus authority, claiming there is no other power that can intercede for us.
Jesus taught that the purpose of prayer is to bring glory to the Father, and when prayer does this we can be sure it will be answered. Knowing this should change the focus of our prayer away from our own gratification and toward thanksgiving and praise to God.
