Our vision is the unified spiritual Bride of Christ, living and representing the gospel of God’s plan of salvation for humanity. Our mission is to nurture the church family as a spiritual organism, feeding the flock and sharing the gospel.
In this message we begin by reviewing a couple of examples of loud shouts and the Hebrew word teruah. We are told “In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.”
The King James Version uses the term “a memorial of blowing of trumpets”, which can be hard to understand.
So let’s look at a different translation and focus on a memorial of blowing of trumpets.
In the Tanakh: “Speak to the Israelite people thus: In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe complete rest, a sacred occasion commemorated with loud blasts.” Loud blasts meaning teruah.
